Our Services

ARE YOU: 

-18 years of age and/or older and/or a minor living independently within the community
-Not eligible for PDD funding and/or other government support (s)
-Diagnosed with autism and/or identify as experiencing autism and/or neurodiversity
-Experiencing barriers accessing accommodations within the community, employment and/or university, and/or obtaining and retaining sustainable employment
-In need of support (s) and/or service (s) such as: the advancement of educational, financial, relief of poverty, socialization and/or integration

DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORTS: To receive direct financial support from our foundation you must be receiving AISH, CPP disability, other disability payments, social assistance and/or meet the Low- Income Cut-Off Guidelines (LICOs) listed below. You will be required to provide proof of income for the last three months with your application upon applying for direct financial supports.

DIRECT SUPPORTS: For those seeking assistance with accessing community resources, all assistance will occur over a digital meeting through your preferred digital meeting platform which we will facilitate free of charge.

Low Income Cut-off Guidelines: If the total annual taxable income of the family is equal to or less than the amounts indicated below, the client is eligible to receive direct financial assistance.

Payment for the damage deposits and first month’s rent, if not eligible for AISH damage deposit social benefits, benefit payments will be the difference after Alberta Community Supports pays the beneficiaries required amount 

Payment for government issued Identification such as drivers’ licence, passport, birth certificate 

Payment for provincial driving exams, licence (s), private driving lessons, and licence renewals Driving Lessons – private lessons from a neurodivergent trained peer support 

Payment for medical care not covered by Alberta Health and/or AISH such as vaccines, optometrist, pediatrist, chiropractor, registered massage, dentist, physiotherapy 

Payment for food hampers worth $200.00 CAN up to 3 times per benefit year once all Alberta Emergency Benefits have been accessed and/or denied by the Alberta Government 

Payment for clothing hampers worth $200.00 CAN up to three times per benefit year

Payment for Post-Secondary education required to advance employment 

Payment for university supplies up to $200.00 CAN upon proof of enrolment 

Payment for Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Center fee $75 if you do not qualify with the fee waiver form but are still low income. Calgary Legal Guidance has provided a robust information page for civilians outlining the basics of the RTDRS process. If you do not want to apply for the RTDRS application fee waiver through Calgary Legal Guidance, you may also apply online directly through the Alberta Government. 

Assistance reporting a Landlord and/or Property Management company to Service Alberta’s Consumer Investigation Unit. This link will take you to the online Consumer Complaint portal known as PABLO 

Assistance with the application process to have court fees waived 

Assistance applying for Telus Internet For Good 

Assistance applying for the Calgary Fair Entry Program including the Low-Income Bus Pass 

We have included the Your Guide to AISH for you to review, as you may be eligible for services that you are not aware of, the AISH guide can also inform you as to some of your legal rights as an AISH recipient

Please be advised applications are reviewed on a monthly basis by our awards committee and will be kept on file and reviewed when additional funding occurs. You will be advised if your application is not approved, and if there is room for improvement to ensure you may reapply and be reconsidered for our awards in the future.

Please be advised, volunteers, employees, members, and board members and their direct family members cannot apply for our awards, our awards be not be reviewed by direct family members 

The Autism for Life Artistry Grant: up to $1,500 CAN 

The Autism for Life Business Grant (to start and/or advance an autistic owned business): up to $5,000 CAN 

The Autism for Life Bursary: $1000 - $5,000 CAN 

The Autism for Life Directors Award: $2000 CAN 

The Autism for Life Honoraria: awarded for professional services rendered without charge to the community and/or beneficiary 

The Autism for Life Scholarship: $1000 - $5,000 CAN 

Please be advised that our awards, honoraria’s, bursaries, and scholarships are only awarded when funding is available, if there is no adequate funding, your application will still be kept on file and funding will be awarded when the funds are available.
